Dr. Yarbrough grew up in South Carolina and graduated from Wofford College in 1994. He set on a path toward medicine early on in the footsteps of this father, a medical doctor. He continued on to Charleston where he completed medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed an internship and residency at the University of Texas, Southwestern, in Dallas, Texas prior to moving back to the Carolinas where he was accepted into a cardiology fellowship at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina at the Baptist Medical Center. There he also completed a fellowship in interventional cardiology before moving back to Charleston in 2005.
Dr. Yarbrough is board certified in cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology. He loves spending time with his wife and three children. He enjoys playing tennis and golf.
